Hi, I’m Aileen

A Newborn Photographer in California

Did I ever think I would be specializing in Newborn Photography and doing what I do now? Honestly, no. But when it happened, I realized how passionate I was about capturing photos of babies and that special time in my clients’ lives… And have been blessed to do it many times for clients as their families grew over the years. I take my job very seriously! And am constantly investing in newborn photography education & trainings, and have attended multiple workshops with the best in the industry. I’m blessed to have a gorgeous studio space! And invested quite a bit in that as well to offer the best experience to clients. I also invest in the best props in the industry to get as high quality images as possible. It’s always my goal to improve my skills and services for clients… So even after 5 years of specializing in newborn photography, I always strive to get better. That pretty much sums me up as a photographer!

My WHY though? I’m the last of seven in my family with six girls, one boy. Sadly, in 2004, I lost my only brother in a car accident. Four years later, my Dad also suddenly passed away. I didn’t get to say bye to either of them… and my life was dramatically changed in one day. All that was left of them were our pictures. My Mom and Dad having had seven kids, were never that good at taking pictures as you could imagine… so we honestly didn’t have that many to look back on. It was then, I realized how priceless photos are. How they’re the one thing you’ll grab if your a fire is threatening your house. They’re our legacies…. they’re what tell our stories for generations to come. So as an artist and someone who enjoys capturing art through a lens, I also found my passion in capturing clients’ stories for them.

Then in 2019, I lost my 6 year old niece in a tragic accident. Thankfully though, I had been starting my photography career though when she was born and so I had documented every big milestone of hers and my sister’s family all together up until she passed. And man, am I glad I did… So when photography seems like an expensive investment? I get it. I do. But you really can’t put a price tag on having memories professionally taken and to have them to pass on to your kids to share with their kids one day. When I see my nieces and nephews gather around and look at albums we made, reminiscing… there just isn’t anything like it. Life gets busy and will fly by! So I encourage all to hit the pause button and take the time to hire a professional at least once a year. And for memories of your newborn? I would be honored to capture that fleeting time in your life for you in a way that makes you feel comfortable and at ease, because I also understand any hesitation you might have about having your picture taken as well. My mom has always avoided any camera like the plague! But I can’t tell you how precious it will be for your little one to have one day if you can overcome those fears of yours as well. I understand them though… and I’m here for you to make it comfortable for you! Pictures I have with my Dad & brother growing up? They mean more to me than I can put into words… they’re everything.

Think of the future and give your child that gift as well.
